Red swollen painful bump in pubic area

Can anyone help me???  Every 5-6 months a very painful, inflamed bump appears in my pubic area.... I stopped shaving a very long time ago because i would always get hair bumps.... In the past, i've squeezed the inflamed bumps and a pus and blood mixture came out.... other times i soaked cotton balls with rubbing alcohol and applied pressure to bump and after about two weeks they went away only to leave horrible dark marks on my skin.... They wreak havoc on my love life :-(  Why do i get them so frequently? What is it? Are they preventable?  How do i get rid of them forever?

It can be due to infected hair follicles or boils or cysts. Boil is usually due to plugged sweat glands that become infected or by an ingrown hair.

Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean. Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription. Also use mild soaps like Dove and wear cotton clothes in future.
