Redness on the penis and testicles..

I've noticed recently, my testicles have been very bright red. Also, the head of the penis is also always red. Is this normal? Are there any infections, fungal related problems, infections? I've checked with a family doctor, though her answers were its completely normal.. Though I notice now that her answers were related to the shaft of the penis, which changes from lighter to darker alot but is never always red.. Haven't been sexually active for a few years, and it was mostly oral. I'm quite concerned to the problem, because the testicles are bright red, and do hurt depending of the time of day, and I tend to notice it more often.

This redness of penis and scrotum can be due to dermatitis skin or skin infection. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist
