Reoccuring Bumps

by Man0409, Mar 22, 2009 09:58PM
For the past several days (approx 5) I have had re-occuring bumps on my arms.  The bumps are red and circular. When they first appeared they were on my arms and my hands. I took some Benadryl and applied Calamine lotion. The bumps went away on my arm and reappeared the next day higher up on my arm near my arm pit. Now they are on my underarm, back, a little on my arm and I literally just got one within the past hour on my stomach. When I am out working they don't itch, but they seem to itch more when I am at my girlfriend's house.  Does anyone have any suggesstions? Also do I just call up any dermatologist in the area to be seen?

Hi,

Are there other symptoms present? This could be an insect bite, irritation, or an allergic reaction. is an irritation or allergy, this will eventually resolve if the trigger is identified and removed. Does your girlfriend or other people in the house have the same symptoms?  Have this checked by a doctor for proper evaluation. Call and have an appointment scheduled with the local dermatologist. Try not to scratch to prevent secondary infection.

Take care and keep us posted.

Thanks for the reply.

There are no other symptoms present, besides the itching. I'm the only one with the symptoms. I thought it might be an allergic reaction which is why I took some Benadryl. If it's an allergic reaction will a dermatologist be able to determine that. I haven't been scratching, just using Calamine/Caladryl lotion.  Sometimes the benadryl helps with the itching. When I make the appointment, do I say it's urgent and that I have re-occuring red itchy bumps?
