Retin A Micro versus Tretinoin

I am 67 y/o w/m and have mild sun damage spots and freckles on my neck and face. Would you suggest I try Retin A Micro or Tretinoin (generic)? They may be the same thing but I am not sure. Thank you for any information that you can provide.
