Ring finger redness and itching

Ring finger redness and itching

My ring finger has recently started getting red and itchy and has developed small white appearing blisters. I originally thought the problem was my ring, so I cleaned it and left it off for a week. Once my finger looked healed, I put my ring back on and with 24 hours the symptoms developed again. I have not gotten into my dermatologist yet and am very concerned. Is this common? Is there a treatment? Will I ever be able to wear my ring again?

Thank you.

I have heard that your problem is more common than you think, I do not know how to explain it exactly but it may very well be your ring..I read of a warning about gold which was  melted down years ago and is a product of residue from inferior gold, that isn't the right word, but for lack of the exact term, the  gold should have been disgarded instead it was recylcled to make jewelry..It is known to cause redness and rash..please discard..or at this point sell it for it's value..
