Hello,
Warts are tumours or growths of the skin caused by infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV).They are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. It is also possible to get warts from using towels or other objects used by an infected person. Any form of intercourse whether vaginal ,anal or oral can transmit HPV warts.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Hello,
According to merck manual, prolonged or repeated contact is necessary for the virus to spread, warts are most often spread from one area of the body to another, but they can spread also from one person to another. Sexual contact is often sufficient to spread genital warts.
HPV cannot survive outside the human body for long but transmission through this route is possible. although rare but it can be transmitted if you use objects like towels immediately after the infected person uses it.
