SCab on lip

HI there!

I have had for a year one scab outside the lip. I went to the doctor, tried 2 different creams and nothing, Ive tried mosturizers, lips balms, leaving it  on its own... They just wont disappear! If I have my skin steamed, they kind of swell but after a few minutes they are back to normal. It is quite annoying as you can see them and feel them with your finger.you can detect it as it has the same colour as the lips. The doctor said it wasnt herpes or a cold sore and that he didnt know what it could be and how it could be sorted ... If it was a pore, it would have healed with exfoliatring masks, steam, etc.Any suggestions?

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough, but it sounds like Fordyce spots. They small yellowish-white granules on the inner surface and border of the lips.
Treatment of Fordyce spots includes CO2 laser or electro desiccation, TCA chemical peels(temporary treatment),diathermy or laser vaporization.

The other possibility is of cold sore. I feel that an examination by a dermatologist will be the best.

I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
