SKIN ON PENIS HEAD

by unknownproblem, Jan 19, 2006 12:00AM
Hello, I am writting to as about my problem. First and my main problem is that my penis head has been hurting off and on (more on) for the last three months. This started one night when the right side of the meatus began to burn keeping me up most the night. The following morning the right side that was burning was milder, but now slighty raised. This upset me because three weeks earlier I recieved oral sex from a girl with unknown status but my friend heard she may have had something. I also my have touched her gentials with my hand and then later myself. I allowed the pain to contiune for two days and then seen two doctors that took a culture inside my penis and also tested my pee. They both said there was nothing the could find that was wrong but gave me Ciprofloxacin and doxy. One of the doctors also told me to apply lamsil. I used the lamsil for a few days to no help but a small patch of bumps appeared. Later the top of the entire head wrinkled up with lines in rows. I then applied alcohol to the skin thinking it my dry it up if it was some bacteria. This just caused dryness. A few days later I seen my urologist and he said it looked to him as a small case of eczama but did not give me anything to treat it. About a month later I visisted my derm. because the bumps, swollen meatus, and redness was still there, along with the pain. He said he did not see anything wrong but I ask him to take a culture of the bumps. He took to samples. The results came back as written.

INTERPRETATION:PENIS CORONA
SEE NOTE
NOTE:WHILE THE POSSIBILITY OF CONDYLOMA ACUMINATUM CANNOT BE COMPLETELY RULED OUT IN THE PROPER CLINICAL SETTING, THE HISTOLOGIC FEATURES ARE MORE SUGGESTIVE OF A PEARLY PENILE PAPULE, AS THE PROMINENT ACANTHOSIS AND VIRAL CYTOPATHIC EFFECT USUALLY ASSOCIATED WITH CONDYLOMA ACUMINATUM IS NOT APPRECIATED. CLINICAL CORRELATION IS NECSSARY. (216.5)
SPECIMEN SITE:PENIS CORONA
GROSS DESCRIPTION 2 FRAGMENTS- 2x1x.5mm AND 1x.5x.5mm
LC/cf
MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION: A shave biopsy demonstrates a very small papular lesion within the dermis of wihci are scattered telangiectatic vessels surrounded by a somewhat-dense connective tissue stroma containin a slightly -increased number of plump fibroblasts. Significant acanthosis is not identified, and viral cytopathic effect is not appreciated.

I went and seen another derm and he said this "The biopsy Dr. burrow did suggested that the area that he biopsied is most likely a benign normal condition called penile pearlie papules and no one knows that cause and may normally increase with age. On exam no biopsy can guarantee that this is not condylma. However the biopsy that was done is the bes way to assume that the spor is nothing else. The part around meatus under magnification is likely normal variant of skin and not contagious.

Now none of these doctor has said anything about the pain and discomfort( that I know is not anxiety). I just need to know is there anything else that I can do?  thanks

How do you know it is not anxiety?

The biopsy and its interpretation seem very clear.  Even if you had an skin STD (like warts), you wouldn't get pain from that.

You have now, I believe, ruled out STD's.  I suggest you consult a urologist.  If you get reassurance and still have pain, consider counseling.

Also, avoid unprotected sex, and don't put alcohol on your penis.

I just dont see why the bumps and the skin all happen at once in a time period of two weeks. I know that I never had this before and now the pain that came with it.  Also is there a reason I should avoid unprotect sex if I dont have a std?  Is the anything that I need to ask my urologist that it might be?

I would just tell the urologist what your history and symptoms are and to take a look at you.

You should avoid unprotected sex to avoid an STD.

I have these weird pimple like bumps on my penis head. If I pop it, clear fluid would come out. It itches from time to time. What can it be? It's been there for about two weeks now and it's not going away. It's getting worse. I'm worried.

I have this weird rash right under where the head of my penis is, the is like a kind of red line. There is dry skin and sometimes there are cuts that open up when it becomes erect, this has only been going on for maybe a week or so. It isn't anything with like puse or any problem with discharge so I was wondering if it was just like normal cuts and a rash and nothing else or it was something else. My girlfriend is the only person I have ever slept with and we do have unprotected sex cause she takes the pill. Any thoughts???

After I take a bath and within a half day or more, when I peel the skin that has been covering the penis head and rub it, the skin sems to rub off.  When I wash the skin, everything is normal and the skin seems to rub off.  There is no pain, there is no foul odor, just skint hat seems to peel off.
