SKin problem. WHAt could it be

I have a reddish purple bruise looking spot on my leg just near my calf . It's just the size of a quarter and it seems a little dryer then the skin around it. Also its been there over 3-4months maybe longer. It doesnt hurt or itch or anything like that?WHat could this be?

It can be a bruise which has not resolved if there is a history of any prior injury. The other possibility is of lichen planus. Lichen planus is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and the oral mucosa, and presents itself in the form of papules (flat spots) or rashes.
I suggest you to consult a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
