STD?

by concernedman, Feb 24, 2005 12:00AM
I am very sexually active. Sometimes, I forget to wear a condom. This time, I'm very scared. I noticed when taking a bath today that there is a small black dot on the tip of my penis. I had a lot of unprotected sex with my girlfriend last week while she was here.

It looks like a very small mosquito bite. A little raised, with a black dot in the center.

It's a bit sensitive but it doesn't itch or hurt.

I just noticed this spot this morning. Could it possibly be Herpes? What's herpes look like? I also have a fever. I'm pretty sick. But eating a lot of tylenol cold and getting lots of sleep.

Please help me,

I don't know of any STD's, herpes included, that look like small black dots near the tip of the penis.  My best guess is that this is a small scab from friction from sex.  I recommend that you not pick at the spot, just apply vaseline or th equivalent to it daily.  In the unlikely event that it doesn't go away in 10 days, show a doctor.

If you are very active with more than one partner, of it your girlfriend has a potential STD history, you may want to be checked for STD's in general.  But again, the black dot sounds traumatic, not infectious.

Take care.
