Sand from skin

After making a trip to Africa I slept in a bed that had like sand on it. Now I have sand-like particles and sometimes like large salt crystals (3mm) coming out of my skin. Sometimes it is like white particles. I have about 200 of these coming out of my skin every day, all parts of the body but particularly Skalp, hands, tips of fingers and under rings, soles of feet, behind, back. I have non-healing pimple-like lesions on my thigh, chest, arm and neck made by the salt crystals. The sand grains come out in a few minutes when I apply neem oil. We are several people in my family with this condition. Is this scabies or demodex, or something else? Every place I spend time (computer, bed, bathroom) rapidly gets these sand particles all round me. If I clean the floor really well with disinfectant, nevertheless when I have been sitting there at my computer for one evening, I can collect several hundred "grains of sand". I have taken Ivermectin 5 times, Permethrin, Malathione. The best thing seems to be bleach and neem oil or any oil, even cooking oil with some essential oil (tea tree, orange). Vogel's neem oil shampoo is great and causes a lot of movement in my hair. I have been washing and drying my clothes daily on hottest setting and washing bedclothes every other day for some months now. I do natural remedies every day and take 1-2 showers a day. Please respond, I need to go to job interviews and be able to work. Should I avoid swimming pool, public transport, working? Is there any veterinary product I can try in addition to horse paste? Any precaution for an elderly family member suffering from the same thing as me? How much Ivermectin can one take? I know demodex has a smell like burnt hair, I have this from time to time but not strong.

This discussion is related to Sand like particles with bumps that itch.

same problem for over a year now.  visited many docs.  tried everything I researched, no help, still trying.  started epsom salt with apple cider vinegar for my scalp, started bleach baths for 20mins and will have some results in a week. had a biopsy of my scalp last week...results will be in tomorrow. my derma has me taking Gabapentin 800 3x daily to slow down the production...sleepy most days but it really works.  not a cure though. spoke with the lab specialist at Cleveland Clinic and she said to have my derma send in a order to test for Calculi, this will tell exactly what the particles are made of, even though it is a kidney stone test, but it will analyze everything. the other she said is to test under micro for bacteria and fungus. mine started after my mites left my body...I ended up with this soon after. there is a nurse called Dr Ginger  Savely and she has helped many people who share our same symptoms...forms of Morgellons.  Her book is $20 on Amazon.  The treatments are provided for you to share with your derma.  she is also accepting new patients...***@****.  if anyone has this and has been cured please share.  I hope this helps.

It’s mold spores, it means you have toxic mold in your floors n walls. They get in your clothes and furniture. All over my skin n scalp until I moved and started to detox with charcoal. They are probably in your air too. I had so much mold toxicity in my skin and body my liver couldn’t take it making the itching worse.
Try activated charcoal, capsules or powder…also apply it over your liver with a towel to absorb your toxins. The itchiness will go away but eat mainly fruits n veggies for 3-6 weeks too.
You might also need to get your liver checked because my immune system was so low, anything would maje me itch. Even going outside. Lived in this for years till I threw away furniture and clothes and  moved.
I had them after mold mites too.
Yep mold.  3 years bought our 1st house had it expected right at the end of 2019.   Immediately you started having skin problems. I was told I had Morgellons disease and this is to say I gave the finger to the new town we moved into and had to do a bunch of my own research and reading.   It was a painful year and a 1/2 before I was able to get a decent culture and we found That my skimmers are reacting but we didn't know why.   After doing more dry boring medical research and reading I learned about dog feces and that's when I realized I smelt dog urine in the carpet we pulled it up and there were piles of mold underneath the carpet!   This is a nice house in a nice neighborhood, But then Wyoming you really don't think about mold and this was just disgusting.   Is home is an old build and thankfully we can remove stuff and clean things. 5 more years in the house would have been gutted.  Kill 2 of my cats I am still struggling.

Learn a lot about the American health system and how f***** u* it is.  All these beauty products, For wrinkled skin, big pores, hair loss etc it's all nothing but a scam so no wonder they made up morgellons disease here in America.  In India you can walk in and get treated for your exposure and be better for it in America you're just told that you're crazy and try this ointment it'll make you look younger.

F****** 8 and there's mold everywhere look how terrible our infrastructure is.  He conceited people so I could only even realize that they got it.

My dermatologist mentioned pumpkin seed might help  With erratic hair problems.   Apple cider vinegar keep my clothes clean.
What do you mean "my *skimmers* are reacting but we don't know why" ? Is that just a typo? Or what do you mean? Also gabapentin is not for slowing down production... Dr may have said it will slow " it" down or whatever but it's basically a trick or a way of getting around not saying they don't believe you gabapentin is for nerve pain so if people say that they're feeling crawling sensations the doctor is think that it can be because of nerve sensitivity and so the gabapentin is to make you less sensitive to the tingling nerve sensation... For lack of a better word, you could say it basically knows you to the sensation so you don't feel it crawling so much then you don't notice it as much because you don't feel like crawling and it's the psychological thing or it's the nerve thing or it's both... I'm not saying that's my opinion but I'm saying that's what the doctors do and say and then when you say it works or it helps then that just proves their point that you know that medicine helped then it's just an issue with your nerves you know being sensitive to sensations. so I would be careful on how much I told them that it worked or maybe you do want to tell him I'm at work because you don't want to get a psych referral
Typ9 basically *numbs" you not *knows you" sorry about that. also I don't think I stated all that very clearly. Overall, no medical doctor at like a regular hospital can diagnose people with morgellons. They are allowed to as there is not even a medical billing code for it and it is viewed as a psychological problem. So they prescribe some people nerve pain med to help desensitize any sensation that your nerves are reacting to causing a crawling sensations. And also as a placebo effect, as in if patient feels like you listen to them and then prescribe a medication, it allows patient to feel like the Dr believes them and cares, which is not always the case especially with derms. So therefore for *some* people it may not be a nerve thing and the medicine does not work physically. However, it works mentally for some as they see it as the Dr prescribed them something to treat*it* when they don't actually believe the morgs part, they believe the patient can feel or think there's crawling sensations. And depending on what all you say about what you are experiencing, you may get a delusional parasitosis diagnosis. Or dermatitis artifacta(believing you have objects in your skin). I'm not saying that's how *I* feel, just saying what is typically the way it works w the drs. It's insulting really, to not believe you but phrase things in a way that can be perceived as them believing you but really they just think you are a fool. Not all drs, but alot. I know this info,  as it is supported by my career being a mental health clinician QMHPA-C for 7 years so far.  Good luck to you. Borax helps a lot in bath, laundry etc. I was flying away but how much stuff grit that came out of my scalp but pouring out like I just poured a whole handful of sand in my head. But be careful because a lot of those things read in bed in your skin and make new lesions
Also it is NOT just made up here in America. I know way more people in UK that have it than I do in usa. And in Thailand and Philippines etc
morgellons=coccidioides

fungal infection involving many stages of growth and hard to recognize, or diagnose, as a result.

morgellons has been renamed, after 200 years, to fit into our zoonic filing and naming system.  it is coccidioides  immitris now, and morgellons is only used by people who do not know what it is.

it is a very real disease.  it destroys lives.

i have learned recently, immunodeficient individuals and people over 60 are prone to this fungal invasion.  i fall into both those categories.  i do not live in southern USA, where statistics say it is most prevalent.  people ask if cocci, short form, is contagious.  why does my partner not get it?  it seems it is only contagious between immunodeficient individuals.

Likely collembola eggs. Some collembolan species are parthenogenic - their eggs need not be fertilized to hatch and be viable. Try using flea shampoo with Precor alternating it with Rid Max all natural lice shampoo & conditioner daily if tolerated - scrubbing the shampoo over your hair and entire body& leaving it on for at least 10 minutes before scrubbing off in the shower with a scrubby. Apply OTC Ivermectin lotion after shower onto dry skin nightly & do not remove until you shower the following night. It is possible that treatment with the antibiotic rifampin x 3 weeks BEFORE starting the topical ivermectin can be more beneficial than topical ivermectin alone as rifampin knocks out the wolbachia bacteria supergroup E thought to be primarily responsible in parthenogenesis in some species of collembola.
You might need to take the ivermectin lotion daily for several months prior to seeing a response. The shorter the time since your infestation the greater the likelihood you can be cured according to anecdotal reports.
Note: rifampin requires a prescription. Oral rifampin reduces blood levels of oral ivermectin. Not sure whether it has any effect on topical ivermectin.

been dealing with the same thing for a long time. I believe there carpet beetles. When there in the larvae stage they eat your hair follicles. I've tried to seek treatment multiple times including today because there also in my cat. Everytime I tell people because I'm a large muscler male they tell me it's scabies which it's not because I haven't gone around anyone because I too have had to shave my head and Beard.  I've been dealing with this for close to fire years because I brought my dog to a person's house who had a horrible infestation. I noticed that my hair was matted together like I washed it with grease. When I tried to comb it to get the tangles out it ended up ripping a large part of my hair out. It also stained my hand and the rim of the sink a brownish color. When you kill them they start to wiggle and it causes a severe allergic reaction that causes my eyes to swell and I have trouble breathing plus welts. After I shaved my head a got in the shower I felt all of these tiny specs on me that felt like sand but they don't come off unless you use your finger nail to remove them. When I first got them I thought it was lice. So I used lice treatment on my entire body and after words I was covered in these tiny black spots no lice at all. These carpet beetles in the larvae stage are like tiny hairs that stick to everything. They eat anything organic, so hair, carpet, clothes, cereal, spices, dead skin cells extra. Look for little holes in your clothing like the fabric is thingy they be primary in the arm pit area and around the seems. If I rub my eye lids long enough little tiny white/ translucent oval shaped things well come out there the eggs. They also shed there skin which I can't really describe I just noticed them today. At some point they grow wings and spread around your home. I keep thinking I've gotten rid of them and go back to normal cleaning habits and they return. I've been single the entire time because I know you can pass them to others. I originally went to my mother for help because at night I really thought I was going to stop breathing. So that where I did the lice treatment. She didn't believe me so she didn't clean and thought I was crazy. She eventually was at her sister house and died her hair and same thing she had a ton of little tiny black specks on her. The reason you can't seem them until you kill them is the specks are there poop and it is the color of what they have been eating. The larvae stage seems to be clear until you kill it. The larvae also sometimes looks like you have glitter on you on you but only in certain lights. Sorry if I'm rambling. There carpet beetles. You have to treat your entire house, use lice treatment on your entire body multiple times vacuum your entire house at least twice per day, clean every square inch of your home with bleach, use tea tree oil, Neem oil and vinegar every where to repel them be aware that they can remain dormant for up to 3 f-en years. If you have the money or credit pay a professional who will garentie to eradicate them. Throw out anything with holes in it or anything that makes you itchy. Wash your close in almost boiling water at let it sit for 30 minute, anything that you don't use regularly put in air thight plastic bags or Tupperware and leave it for a few months. At this point I'm not sure I'm ever going to get rid of them there's probably trillion of them in my house. I rent and it's carpeted. They get on the cat then he rubs on me and they stick to me. This probably the worst thing that I've ever dealt with, my family no longer talks to me and I'm a disabled veteran every time I tell a health care professionals they say it's scabies I haven't even allowed anyone in my house or been in anyone's in over 4 years let alone slept with anyone this ***** like the plague they caused my dog to go blind. i am guessing they are eggs since there are so many.  eggs of what is the big question.  get a magnifying app with a light and examine one up close.  plug it into google lens, and see what pops up.  parasites come to the top of the skin to lay their eggs, but this many is dumbfounding.  i have a fungal infection in my body, and i use clove oil straight up out of the bottle on a spot that itches.  the egg has the property of making one itchy when they come out.  if it is not itchy, then you have the parasite falling from you; my guess.  clove oil will kill whatever it is, rest assured.  but you must keep at it.  by the time you finish cloving yourself, it will be time to do it again.  do a test spot on your skin and then look with the magnification and see what happens.  it is a whole new world these skin problems.  think microscopic.  keep us posted!

Cats & humans - particulsrly humans with poorly functioning immune systems, fungus, etc , can become
infested with collbola given the right circumstances. I was digging in dirt - where most collembola live - for months to create a parking pad and gardens. I was also working many hours and not getting sufficient sleep
- all potentially worsening my immunity. Please see my references here re: human collemboliasis and also an infested cat. It seems the longer the infestation the more difficult it is to cure. This infestation can also be transmitted via touch to others. It appears those with suboptimally functioning immune systems are at greatest risk, while others with healthy immune systems may not be at risk - based upon anecdotal evidence of one spouse having collemboliasis & the other not acquiring it. However, children & the elderly may be at increased risk, possibly due to lack of a fully effective immune system. This statement has bot been proven - simply based upon anecdotal evidence.

It's a form of scabes.  Need benzyl benzoate cream to cure it.  Not avail in USA.
Exactly that this is a form of scabies mite and aggressive treatment is needed for most cases now a days also a switch in medication often as they get used to one medication work with a team of drs for treatment make sure ur drs are working together include infectious disease dermatologist pcp GI specialist allergist and maybe even a hematologist also this will help rule out everything else as mites can be hard to find in both a biopsy or skin scrape at times and the reactions can come in several forms on the body...
Maybe worms or another parasitic infestation
If no signs of scabies, lice, or another "typical" parasitic infestation, look to collembola. Read this reference. Many entomologists will say collembola are not known to infest living humans or animals (although they are the first to infest dead mammals - read Stephen Hopkin's "Biology of the Springtail Insecta Collembola."

https://www.headlice.org/news/collembolosis/references/collembiasis.htm

Additionally, read the NPA's research findings published in JYNES. They are directly in alignment with my own situation - and that of many similar others about whom I have read or with whom I have spoken.

it probably wasn't sand in your bed, odds are it was exactly whats coming out of your body but just someone elses who has the same disease as you. That's probably how it was transferred to you and your family

I had similar issues, and continue to. Going on 3 years now. It started looking like pimples, so ignored it. But then it went crazy and completely covered my top half of body, red bumps, I was itchy alll over, the bumps dont itch, just everything. I saw hard partials, like sand or salt coming out of each bump...they wouldn't come out on their own, I had to dig it out. And the bump wouldn't go away until I did. And sometimes I comes right back. I've seen 3 dermatologists 10 doctors, 2 specialists. I've been finally told its pitrosporum  folliculitis. That's what biopsy of bump said. But I feel it goes deeper and is internal. Its  very aggressive, and nothing jeeps it away for long, it seems to find a way around the medication. Try econozole...thats what helps me somewhat.

I literally have and feel the same exact way! Started off doctor said folliculitis and he prescribed me a topical cream and it did zero. Then on to my primary doctor the other was the gyno and now she prescribed antibiotics and it did zero. Now family, friends, and clients are noticing it and I'm a picker which helps me none but it is what it is. I'm also a hair stylist and am around many chemicals and products that probably don't help in the slightest bit. Started on my arms a year ago and then spread to five and at this time they were all just red bumps with clear fluid that I couldn't help put just pop. Summer came and was in shorts and tank top so it prevented a lot of picking bc I was exposed and into fall where no one see's my bikini area so I grown hairs were my favorite to pick and then legs back face stomach and inbetween in my chest area. Now it's the sand like crystals or these stretchy white plugs that literally go onward if u squeeze them but once u can get a grip on it and it's not easy u can yank them out and it's big for coming out of that your pore. Then goes down in swelling u think it's gone and jokes on me it's back and of course I'm obsessed with yanking them out it's fun to me until after I see the damage I do to myself. But now i also have these crystal like things coming out that u have to take with tweezers sometimes u can hear them crunch when u get it a certain way with the tweezers. And sometime when they kinda prick u when u get them if u touch it. Anyway finally went to a derm and she was the meanest lady ever. I even brought a bag of the plug I took out and things that I thought would help and nope she didn't even wanna see it (she could of at least pretended to care) was on bactrim ds cause the bad ones turn into a staph infection ( yea that's fun to think about when ur a hair stylist always touching ppl) then back on the antibiotic for 30 days for folliculitis...... some days I'm happy bc it seems like they go away until boom it's back and they are  piercing through again. I know in my gut something is not right at all do I think I may of had/have  folliculitis and a Bad infection yea probably but there is something ALSO going on like a chemical reaction of some sort allergy? I also suffer from chronic migraines and get Botox for them every 3 months (31 injections) I've gotten every cream oil antibacterial anything and I can't say one has actually really helps maybe calm them down for a hot second but I can't stop obsessing over this and I thought I had demodex and freaked out doctor says it's folliculitis but idk I sleep in the same bed as my boyfriend he has zip. And I'm a hairstylist I touch people for living and brushes combs towels ect.! How would I ever explain that to my boss/ clients oh btw u may have mites bc of me. I also heard animals could carry a form of staph idk see I could go on about what it MAY be but my gut instinct has neverrrrrrr done me wrong (I know what the baby's gender is by just feeling the energy of the pregnant woman) I have never I mean never been wrong. It's funny they will be like I know it's a boy and I'm like ehhhhh but you ARE having a girl and they laugh always so and I told u so never gets old lol but I need help:( I'm 27 and I have enough medical stuff to deal with I needn't help with this one plzzzzzz anyone have any advice I really need it:(
you are describing exactly what happens to me.  last year i had this break out on lower legs.  i took it all out; took 7 months with tweezers, mag app and phone and hydrogen peroxide.  then i switched to iodine tincture.  oh ya that works.  one spot at a time.  also, there are 7 layers of skin.  if you break the last layer you bleed and then you scar.  be gentle on your self, but get them out of there!  do i know what it is?  i do.  it is a fungal infection called coccidioides immetris spelling may need correction on last word.  this is the human variety.

Morgellons is a made up American disease.  All these people are experiencing is exposure to their environment which happens to be toxic because they live in America.

It's a perfect solution for industry to keep making our environment toxic and for the beauty and health industry to rake in millions by covering up the symptoms of a toxic environment.

Cutibacterium  It's responsible for a lot of these symptoms it's part of our Flora and NIM  Had restrictions on the bacterium being discussed or practiced in America for nearly 60 years up until 2020 when they loosened their restrictions. Most  Health care providers in America don't even know what it is and it's practically ingrade embedded in every single cell in our body from Macrophages to the epidermis. The American Healthcare doesn't even know how to properly treat people anymore because of this b*******.

This c*** leads to cancer and so many other problems but no let's keep pumping that oil and selling that wrinkle cream.

There are nefarious groups who are pushing the morgellons disease in order to rake in money on the Naivity of the American public.
i hear you.  look up when morgellons was named.  ages ago.  since we now have better equipment to study this in detail, it turns out it has been name changed to be included in the list of fungus.  it should be renamed to coccidioides.  those that poopoo morgellons will not be spared when coccidioides is all over the world and 100 times worse than covid.  please, finish your homework and research coccidioides.  i have it.
