Scabies or Poison Ivy?

Okay - so I worked all last weekend in my mothers yard - i know she had poison ivy in there just thought not where I was working, so I didnt pay much attention to it. 2 days later I break out in a few hives then get really itchy. The next morning there were bumps on my left knee area and the back of my right thigh. I've had them for a few days now bathing in epsom salt really helps for a few hours. It seems to be on unusual areas now, like a couple bumps on my back side and a few at my wasitline - but I was wearing clothes on those; some of the bumps are more like blisters now with a crusty yellowing look to them. I have had scabies before and I'm going on vacation leaving tomorrow; I want to make sure that this is poison ivy and not scabies again; unfortunately my doctors office is closed so if any one has any opinions please let me know!!

You could try taking an anti-histamine-ic medication.

You could try an OTC anti-histaminic. If it is an allergic re-action it will settle down.Considering the pattern of spread it is most likely the poison-ivy which has triggered off an allergic re-action.
Observe the lesions for a day or two. If it settles down with the anti-allergic medication, then it’s an allergy
If not please check with your doctor to get medication for the scabies.
