Scabies or something else?

Hi Doc!
When I was 17 my boyfriend got scabies and so did I. We used the creams and they went away. But over the years I've had some kind of itching or rash that comes and goes just like the scabies did! I've been with a couple of partners for years after that and they have never complained of itching or rash. I've been with my husband now for 2 years and he has no complaints. Now we have a 2 month old baby and he has nothing. But I swear it feels just like scabies. It's under my arm and between my thighs. Sometimes on my shins. They go away and then come back weeks sometimes months later. It's been ongoing for years. What could this be?

Scabies is highly contagious and if your husband is not showing any signs of scabies, then it is unlikely that it is scabies. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.
I suggest you to get it examined from a dermatologist to get the diagnosis confirmed.

I'm a 30 year old girl and I have itched 4 2 months and thought it was that but it wasent yours may not be eather the doc my doc was wrong and can't tell me what it is . They give me staroids and it stays away but when there gone it comes back I have no answers . Just saying its like that but does not mean that is what it is so if you still have douable check docs are wrong sum times and a lot of people are getting it .
