I am 27 years old and have always had very thick hair. I got my hair chemically treated almost one year ago. The stylist left the chemical on my hair too long which caused a great deal of scalp pain ever since. I have been losing a considerable amount of hair, especially on the crown of my head
where I have the most pain. I use gentle hair care products and do not use anymore chemicals. My doctor told me I had telogen effluvium but it is almost a year later and my hair is still shedding. I have been having some regrowth, but the areas that hurt are still shedding. What can I do to get rid of the scalp pain and inflammation? I believe that if I cure that then my hair will stop falling out. Would cortisone shots in my scalp remove the inflammation, pain, and hair loss? Thanks.
Hello,
Causes of hair fall could be like nutrients and proteins deficiency in the hair cells, emotional or physical stress, hormonal imbalances, dandruff
disease and Alopecia areata. If there is underlying disease or nutritional deficiency, give your diet an overhaul if you're lacking vital nutrients for growth and switch to foods for healthy hair. If it's related to an illness, it can be reversed by effectively treating the underlying cause.
