Scalp acne

by dachelle, May 31, 2008 01:12PM
My 4 year old daughter has a little hair along her hairline and nape but not as much hair as throughout the rest of her head.  There are pimple and non-pimple bumps along her hairline and nape.  They're also throughout the rest of her head but not as much as is present along her hairline and nape.  I braid her hair or put her hair in ponytails but need to do something, though I don't know what, about the bumps.  She does play with sand which sometimes get into her hair.  If there's a shampoo or cream I should use, not use grease or any hair product or if I need to wash her hair more frequently, please advise. Is this folliculitis, alopecia or some sort of acne?  Please help.  Thank you.
