Scar removal from getting mole removed?

(April 25, 2011) Hello,
In December of 2010, I got a mole removed. This mole was RIGHT above my upper lip, on the right side. (almost on my lip.) After the mole went away, it left a NASTY scar. The scar is about the same color of the mole, but showed up a few days after the mole was already gone. I'm so self-conscious about this scar. (As I was about the mole, before.) I always have to cover it up with make-up so no one will see it. The problem with that is I'm always playing sports, so I sweat and the make-up comes off. Also, when I'm swimming, the make-up comes off. I'm always so worried about this, that I can't be myself around people anymore. Please help me! :( (before summer would be great.)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
For such type of scars, medicine which has been advised by many dermatologists for scar diminishing is contractubex gel/cream. You can seek your dermatologist/surgeon’s opinion before using this cream. Otherwise you can go in for glycolic peals, laser treatments and pressure dressings. Severe scarrings may need skin grafting by a plastic surgeon.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

maybe you should go to like a dermatologist and get some kind of laser removal? or maybe like a lotion, something to rub on it. I know how you feel though, I'm also self-conscious about my issue. Read my thread above this one....
