Scars, scars and more scars

by missy0517, Jun 27, 2009 08:31PM
Hello,

I'm supposed to go to the dermatologists for numerous skin problems but I'd like some more information first.

I have had ingrowns on my lower belly ever since I had the great idea to shave. But they caused me to have numerous small dark spots and I would like to get rid of these scars definitely. I've heard talk about cortisone shots to regenerate the skin and getting rid of the hyper pigmentation but I would like some more information.on what would be the best cure a dermatologist can propose.

I also have many dark spots on my back after an allergic reaction, and I am wondering what kind of treatment I can  receive for that.

I'm also self-conscious about my legs where my pores appear darker than my natural skin  tone and would like to know if dermabraison would be a solution and if it would be wiser to go see a dermatologist than an cosmetician.

Lastly, I would like to know what treatment I may follow to get rid of acne scars on my face.

May I also bring to your attention that I'm African-American. I know that some treatments do not work on my type of skin such as dermabraison.

Thank you so much for answering my questions!

Hi Missy,

Try ScarAway silicone serum for scars/discolorations that result where your skin is injured such as from cuts, surgery, bug bites, acne blemishes, etc.   ScarAway Silicone  Serum helps reduce scars and discolorations. It s great for your face and It works on all skin tones and works without any bleaches, etc.  ScarAway also makes silicone strips and patches for scar reduction and to aid in the prevention of problem / abnormal scarring.
