Sctoum itch and thick skin.

I am having scrotum itch for 2 months.i have applied the cortizone and jock itch creams but cures only for that time and itches very next day. I have also noticed small pimples on my scrotum which itches. i recently gtting itching on the base of the penis ans the scrotum skin also became thick and hardened. I am sexuallly inactive and i dont think it is STD. please let me know what could be the cause of this. i get more itching when i take bath.. and also prescibe me the medicines.

From the symptom sit can be contact dermatitis, sweat dermatitis, eczema or allergic reaction. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated. Till then wash your scrotum daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying,not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy groins. The damp skin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels.
