Sebaceous prominence

I have had sebaceous prominence since puberty.
What I still cannot figure out is why there seems to be no interest from the medical community to investigate a cure for this condition? I understand it isn't life threatening or painful, but neither are other conditions which have drugs to assist in healing/curing.
From all the reading I have done, there seems to be a significant amount of people who would by such a medicine in order to reduce their size or remove them completely?
