Severe Thigh Muscle Pain

Ten days ago I had unprotected sex. Three days after, I woke to very severe front thigh muscle pain in both legs. My thigh muscles were very sore from my hips to knees, like the feeling one would get a few days after a long hike or run. The soreness was very severe for two days and began to subside on the third day. Bending and stretching did not help to alleviate the discomfort. I have had no discharge and no visible signs or symptoms in the genital area but am wondering if the muscle pain was due to some sort of viral or bacterial invasion. Is this symptomatolgy suggestive of anything I should be concerned about?

To be honest, I don't know.  It sounds more viral or perhaps exercise-related than anything sexual.  I think you will need to ask tour general physician about this.
