Shingles and physical activity

I have a case of shingles affecting my chest and back.  There is significant pain, but not much of a rash - just a small spot on my chest and a slightly larger one on my back.  I have been on antiviral treatment for 2 days, and don't expect any more spots.  My question is whether I need to cut back on my physical activity (bike riding, tennis, walking, exercising, etc) during the outbreak of shingles, or whether I can continue life as before, as long as the pain allows.  When I am active, I don't feel the pain as badly.  Will staying quiet make the outbreak go away any faster than being active will?

It will go away in the same number of days whether you exercise or not, so you're best off doing everything you want and feel up to.

Best.
