Short, linear appearing rash, or teeny bumps, itching on shoulder.

I have - what feels like small bumps - actually, it feels like the aftereffects of a scratch only there wasn't a scratch in the area - on my right shoulder - about an inch long - its been there about two weeks and getting progressively itchier each day.  I can't see it but I can feel it with my left hand - which is why initially I thought it was a scratch even though I didn't scratch myself there.  My son said it looks like a small, short dark line.  Any suggestions?  there is nothing anywhere else on my body.  By the way, about thirty seven years ago I had a mole removed right under that area - it had to be cut out because it was so deep - and there's about a half inch puckered scar right underneath where the itchy thing is.  I don't know if there is any significance to this or not.

Have you applied a hydrocortisone cream, anti-itch cream, benadryl spray, etc. to see if it helps?  It seems like more than a coincidence that the itchy area is also associated with a previous mole removal.  I would suggest seeing a dermatologist if you've tried some OTC creams and they haven't worked.

From the symptoms it can be dermatitis, insect bite or scabies skin if it is appearing as bite like lesions. If you notice changes in the mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have it checked if it bleeds, oozes, itches, appear scaly, or become tender or painful.
