Should I worry about abnormal biopsy reult

I just found out that the pathology report on a mole that I had removed on my back came back as abnormal.  The dermatologist office told me it was not cancer nor precancer but I need to return every 3 months to check my skin as these types of moles tend to reappear...  I looked on the internet for more information on this topic and it keeps referring to melanoma....now I am really scared.  


Does anyone else understand this better than I seem to?
