Side Effects to Benzoly Peroxide

by mish, Sep 16, 2001 12:00AM
About a month ago i used Benzoyl peroxide (4 percent) and immediately got a bad reaction to it.  My skin went red and blistery.

It has now been a month and although the redness has gone down, my skin has not fully healed and I am scared I may be permanently scared.  I am so scared because before I had mild acne and could cover it with makeuo.....not i have scaring
Please advise.

Please don't worry--benzoyl peroxide can make susceptible people red for a while, but never permanently so.  Just keep your skin poist and don't use any irritating products.  Also, I suggest you see a dermatologist ofr alternative treatments ofr your acne.  There are many good ones.

Best.
