Side effects of Brazilian Wax

I recently had a brazilian wax and soon developed irritation around my genitalia.  It's extremely itchy and irritated, very uncomfortable.  I haven't slept in three nights and after going to my ob-gyn, she only advised a 1% hydro-cortisone cream and benedryl to sleep, no yeast or bacterial infection indicated.  I've tried soaking in epson salts and aloe, but nothing seems to help.  Please please help me, this is my last resort.

Try Sarna, it's a cream my daughter uses for her severe Eczema and skin issues/severe itching from Celiac Disease. We get it at Walgreens but Im sure other stores have it.  Good luck.

Hello,
Folliculitis and ingrown hair are common even after Brazilian waxing. Apply cold compresses(ice cubes wrapped in a towel) on the rash and take some antihistaminic like benadryl or claritin.You can also apply calamine lotion on the rash. It will help in soothing the skin. A mild corticosteroid cream like dermacort will also help. Wear cotton clothes and consult a doctor as oral steroids and antibiotics may be needed.
