Singular blister on the middle of my upper lip

I have never had any history of a cold sore in my life. I am currently a 19 year old female, and have not engaged in any sexual contact or had made any contact on the lips with anyone. It is a singular air bubble on the middle of my lips and feels as if it is filled with a lot of air. My lips at the moment are severely dry, I never drink as much water as I should. Is this a cold sore? Or is it a blister from severely chapped lips?

I too had a blister on my lip while having severally dry lips! I have never had a cold sore, but I did pop mine, not knowing that it was a blister because all I saw was dry skin, mine hurt to be touched though, but it was not red anywhere around, and didn't scab yellow like most cold sores typically do. Did you ever find out what it was??

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be contact dermatitis, bullous staph infection or a cold sore. Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down. You need to get some investigations like sample from the sores to identify the virus, culture analysis, Tzanck smear, antigen and antibody studies and blood sampling for antibody studies done to confirm the diagnosis. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

It could be either. Some Carmax should help! If that doesn't take it away try Abreva. Cold sores can pop up in stressfull times. Some people get them all the time, some people only ever get one or two, some people never get them. Try to drink more water even though it's hard. Most people don't drink enough water you are not alone!
