My son is 8 and has had childhood acne all his life. Take your son to a doctor or dermatologist for evaluation and advice. If it turns out to be acne you may also be refered to an endocrinologist to rule out any hormonal problems. My son had his urine tested and also a wrist x-ray to see how fast his bones were growing. They also checked for underarm hair, tanner 2 genitalia and other signs of puberty. It was discovered that my son's condition was benign and not true early puberty. I will check the letter from the endocrinologist and get back to you with the diagnostic term they used. Loiloi xx
