Skin Cancer??

Skin Cancer??

I just want to know if anyone knows anything about this sort of thing.  I have this kind of skin tag thing on my back.  I went to the walk in clinic and the doctor put nitro on it.  Once one week and once another week and said it should fall off.  Well it didn't fall off and it is driving me crazy.  It is about the size of a 1/2 of a pea and I think it is skin cancer.  On my back where it is located my back in kind of tingley and get sore, not to touch, but I can feel the soreness.  Does anyone have any idea about something like that??

Hi,

This appears to be a typical skin tag and not skin cancer. You should probably not get woried about it. There are many options available for treatment and your doctor can prescribe you one of these if the cryosurgery does not seem to work.

Treatment options include:
Cauterization: with an electrolysis instrument
Cryosurgery (freezing)
Ligation: cutting off blood supply
Excision: with a scalpel, or other surgical instrument

Each of these treatments is considered minor surgery, typically performed by a physician in the office. In some jurisdictions, an aesthetician is permitted to remove them with electrology.
These are superficial procedures, so there should be no problem
