Skin Discoloration/hair loss

My 3 month old son was diagnosed with excema about a month ago. I question this diagnosis because he has never had any form of redness or itchness. He has had cradlecap and in the spots he had cradlecap thou it is clear he now has discoloration in those spots. He also has discoloration on his face, forehead, behind the ears, back, tummy, legs, arm, and neck. A dermatologist looked at a few pics and states if post inflammatory from eczema but I disagree because like I said there was never any form of redness or itchiness just discoloration. Also my main concern is he know is getting discoloration all over the head which is causing hairloss. I am overseas and there is only 1 Dermatologist and im not happy with him    Please Help

It can be due to seborrheic dermatitis or fungal infection of the scalp causing tinea capitis. It is contagious and can spread direct contact with someone who has the condition, or if you touch contaminated items such as combs, hats, clothing, or similar surfaces. Diagnosis is by clinical examination of the scalp as well as a skin lesion biopsy with microscopic examination.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
