Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough, but it can be acanthosis nigricans. It is a brown to black, poorly defined, velvety hyperpigmentation of the skin. It is usually found in body folds.
The most common cause of Acanthosis nigricans is insulin resistance, which leads to increased circulating insulin levels. Controlling blood glucose levels through exercise and diet often improves symptoms.Pls discuss this with a dermatologist.
I hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Thanks for you help. But I have posted some photo's of what it looks like. If you could take a look and tell me if this is really AN or not I would greatly appreciate your advice again.
