Skin Irritation helps!

I have had this skin irritation for 2 days. It first appeared on my 2 arms with itchy small red spots. I took Benadryl and it did not resolve the problem. The day after, it moved from my arms to the back, lower back, legs, and along 2 neck lines. It is still very itchy! What products would help resolve this problem?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be due to contact dermatitis, allergic reaction, heat rash, viral rashes etc. You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. Covering the affected area with bandages and dressings can help protect the skin and prevent scratching. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.

Please take a second opinion from a dermatologist if the symptoms persist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello,
It would depend on what the cause if it is and from what I read there are many possibilities here...Have you had allergy type symptoms before and why did you decide on the benadryl...do you know what your exposure was...pesticide, change in soap, worked around poison..(just weeded the garden), put up fiberglass insulation, worked around paints, varnishes, had any tick bites, bug bites...what about picking berries or fruits....Any of the above could have caused this so you must give more info because lets say it is poison ....ivy or shumac or oak..there are several things to use that helps control the itching... however it would not help something such as a tick bit...You can be very specific and if you feel better talking BACK STAGE we can, just scroll over my name and a box will come up to allow you to send a message directly...either way  DO NOT SCRATCH!!!!!! I know that sometimes a paste mixture of regular bar soap, can and does help the itching...you just SLATHER it on...it will be colorful and then dry...now you would not want to run through the sprinkler....you'll get bubbles in the yard and I, nor my children left the house when painted up...There...I saw that smile...Have a wonderful Blessed Day!!!!    GOD BLESS!!!!     loimmarmar
