Since I was a child (I'm 25 now) the skin on my hands and feet has been peeling, almost like a snake. My heels, toes, top of my feet, fingers, etc., form little water blisters that eventually a) Rub off, leaving sensitive new skin b) I'll pick it off, with sensitivity of new skin c) I'll try to leave it along and it will become bigger and bigger (I've had the whole top layer of skin on my feet come off in one piece). I get it from wearing shoes, washing my hands, carrying objects (the friction causes the skin to literally slide off). Also, occasionally I can tell it's coming when my hands start to sweat even though I'm not hot. The blisters will form and the process begins. This is a painful and embarrassing problem I have. I've been to skin doctors, only by the time my appointment comes around (weeks later) the skin has healed. Does anyone have this on-going problem from birth?? Also, cortisone creams heal the skin, but make it paper thin (skin comes off easier), so I don't like using them.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated! :)
