Skin Poisening on my back

by rachael, Nov 22, 2000 12:00AM
I have skin posineing located all over my back. Its all these spots all over my back and I went to the doctor but she said only time will make it heal. However....I was wondering if there was a cream that would fasten the process that maybe my doctor didn't know about. Also is there any way to try to cover it up besides self=tanner...already tried that. Please get back to me thanks.......We have a dance in 1 month at my school and I have to wear a dress so I need to get rid of it and F-A-S-T!!Please help me

Rachael:

I really can't be sure what you mean by "skin poisoning."  Since you sound young, I would guess you refer to tinea versiclor, a superficial (and noncontagious!) fungus which often leaves light spots which take months to even out.  If you haven't treated it, you should do do.  But beyond that, you may indeed have to wait several months for color evening.  Meanwhile, there are clothing and makeup to hide the spots.  Do the best you can.

Good luck.
