Skin Tag Removal

by Crystal4660, Oct 21, 2009 05:48PM
I just had three skin tags removed from my anal area. It's been a week and I still have a few bumps from where they were. My doctor said give it a month but I don't understand why there are still bumps when the skin tags were suppose to be removed !? Is it just inflammation or did they come back?

Hello,
These small bumps after skin tag removal could be just hypertrophied and inflamed skin which needs some time to get resolved. Follow your doctor’s advice and if even after 1-2 months, the symptoms persist then please get it examined by a dermatologist. It can be due to retaining of some of the stumps of the skin tag.
I hope that helps. Take care and please do keep us posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
