Skin growth under the eye

by Roseanne, Mar 22, 2000 12:00AM
I have a small flat skin growth under my eye.  Is this a skin tag or stye and will it become larger?

by Alan Rockoff, MD, Mar 23, 2000 12:00AM
Roseanne:

If it's just sitting there (as opposed to having ous and going away), it's probably a skin tag.  That will stay there, minding its own business.  If you want to get rid of it, a dermatologist can burn it off in a second.  Minimal pain, no risk.

Best.
