Skin lesions

I have had chronic lesions to my scalp, neck, upper back and posterior aspect of my upper arms.  Initially, I developed a single lesion over one year ago on my scalp and since  have developed them on other areas of my scalp, neck, upper back and arms. They range in age from 20 months to three months.  They are single, circular and slightly ulcerative.  They are progressively irritating throughout the day but, primarily at night, and they feel as if stung by an insect, they form a small blood filled blister that upon erupting relieves the pain.  I have treated them with a plethora of meds including those for scabies, shingles, bacterial infections and allergies. My ex-husband had similar lesion which makes me feel it is contagious but, I am at odds end because now I have three new lesions on my face and have consulted three physicians who are perplexed as well...any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
It is very difficult to confirm anything without examination but it can be a contagious skin disease like bacterial skin infection. To confirm the diagnosis please get a bacterial culture and a biopsy skin done. if it is a bacterial skin infection then you and your husband both may need antibiotics.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
