Skin lump on scrotum

Skin lump on scrotum

on my scrotum is a lumpy bit of skin. It has been there for about a year and I have not been sexually active since before I had cancer 3 years ago.  It almost looks like a lumpy scar, although don't know. It is fairly dry, itches every once in a while but doesn't hurt and is same color as the rest of the area. I think it itches just because it's dry. It has never bled, had any fluids come out or anything like that. Any ideas? It's not huge but looks like the shape of a small slug. Anything I can try on it to make it go away? Hope it's not a permament scar I am 34 and male

May be just a neurodermatitis.Apply hydrocortisone creme. With your history of cancer it would be prudent to get a biopsy.

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be xerosis or eczema.

Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.
For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Also use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist. Moreover due to your previous history of cancer,a biopsy of the skin is essential.

I hope that helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

thanks ofr the info. It's not red or really itchy. feels a little lumpy like possibly a little fluid or something is in there, but It has been there for a long time like I said. I was kind of embarrassed to go to a doctor for it, but now maybe I should. would any of these creams possibly get rid of the the lump? Or would only a doctor be able to do that? I am trying to try a couple of things first myself to see if it helps.

I'd put a pic of it up, but don't know if that would even help. :/
