Skin on childs hands peeling off

Hi, Everytime I give my 6 year old a warm bath or shower the skin on both of his hands just peels off.  I mean like it looks like he has been in water for hours not minutes.  I don't know what to do to help him, we put tons of lotion to help them but that doesn't help while he is in the warm water.  It will last for an hour or so after he is out of the water then the skin looks okay.  (This doesn't seem to happen in cold water, such as in the pool)

I asked my Dr office about it and they never heard of such a thing.  Can you help?

Thanks

Some people's hands look like what you describe after being soaked in water--they just get very waterlogged-looking.  It doesn't mean anything, and as you say yourself, it goes away in an hour.  Nothing to worry about.

Take care.
