About once every 3-4 weeks My skin hurts very much on a certain part of my body. It is always a different part and lasts 7-10 days. There are no signs of anything though. No rashes and the skin looks completely normal. This has been goin on for about a year or so. Everything I read says shingles, but a rash eventually shows up with that and I never get one. My skin feels like a very bad sunburn with no marks. Just my clothes rubbing on it hurts. When these skin pains come, along with it is muscle aches around the area. Right now it is on the right side of my stomach and wraps around to the right side of my back resulting in back pain too. I am very frustrated not knowing what this is or how serious it may be. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated since I cannot go to a doctor right now as I am unemployed without medical insurance. Thank you for your time...
Your condition fits in with cutaneous hyperalgesia which can also involve the viscera underneath like muscle.I am not very familiar with this syndrome but I know it is not serious.A course of B12 and calcium pantothenate may help.Severe cases may need drugs like gabapentin which of course you do not need.
