Skin rash

A little over a year ago I got a rash on my penis. After a week it didn't go away and I made a doctor appointment. I have been in a healthy relationship for more then 6 years so I knew it was not an STD. Regardless I went to my doctor and had blood work done. Tests came back clean for any and all STD's. He wanted me to see a dermatologist. Before I made the appointment the rash went away. It did leave minor scaring. I never went to the dermatologist. This week 13 months later the same rash came back. Not as bad as the first time. It was hard enough to go to my regular doctor for this so I am having a real hard time going to a different doctor. What could case this rash that is not an STD? And is it possible to treat my self with over the counter meds? The only thing I can think of is maybe it is an allergic reaction to condoms. It looks like little red dots. And really doesn't itch at all.

I did it Monday night. Nothing happened. Even when I woke up the next day, no irritation at all. Could just be the skin down there is so far only reacting to it. I am cutting all Polyester from my clothing and sticking with 100% cotton.

I took a piece of polyester from my pillow and put it under my armpit for about an hour. Didn't do anything. It is starting to lighten up again. I just don't want it to keep coming back. I been putting Mometasone Furoate Cream USP, 0.1% on it. Maybe that will help.

The motto for this site is WORKING TOGETHER TO FIND CURES.
The key word here is together. Not telling others on the post to shut up. Or convince others not to listen to someone else who suffers from the same symptoms they don't know anything. Get with the program please.  Too bad I had to defend myself from you and sidetrack this post, and fills it up instead with an argument. This guy doesn't want to hear this. He came here for another reason. This I know.

Oh and thanks for all the insults slick. All these things you say about me, and my past. Do you have ESP? because you don't know me, who likes me here in Maine now, or any of the things you said I am or do. You don't even know me. And I say that when someone insults the heck out of someone by saying all those things when they don't even know me and are taking a wild guess, hoping he can turn everyone against me, anmd get me thrown off this site even, that you are the one who should leave here, and not me.
I think you are jealous that I know more than you. Notice I say think not know. Unlike you. So who is the know it all? Me or you?
And I think because I have this same condition and it looks just like his when I react and have found a very easy and cheap solution, that makes me more likely to help the guy. When you who never had this problem AND are not a doctor come on here and try to prevent this guy from listening to me, just shows that YOU are not doing the right thing here. Do you think because I tell him something, that your posts becomes invisible. You think he won't listen to any reasoning except what comes from me? or a doctor because some guy named simpleman told him another possibility?
You are theefore needlessly attacking me. And I do think that you are afraid to lose a little attention you come here for to me.  Don't worry slick. And even calling yourself Slick shows that you have some sort of ego thing where you think you are so slick. Well, this Slick attempt to destroy me is not working! And if you keep it up, you are going to make yourself look bad. And when it turns out You were not right with your own guess of this problem he has, then who is gonna look  ummm What did you call me? oh yeah, arrogant and self-righteousness, with a posh attitude, who was never popular, is intolerable and lacks many things in my life, "quoted from your post" that,  well, I can't finish that sentence by saying that you are the one who is like that because I don't know you. But you must have ESP to know this about me. That being the case, then just tell this guy, what is going to happen with his quest in finding a cure.
Or tell me the medical reasons why I am wrong.
I can easily tell you why you are wrong! And how it can't be like you say! And back it up. Okay? I called it. So you go first. I am waiting Slick. And pleae don't resort to name calling and desciptions of my life when you don't know me. That kind of stuff should stay in grammer school. And does nothin but make you look immature.
And tell me. How is it that you know so much? especially when you don't listen to anyone who has experience on something, you want to be educated about?
I think I pretty much put you to shame here. Enough that maybe you might ease of and get off my back. You have no authority to have me thrown off this site. They will read over the post you complain about and see for themselves. And make the call they want to make! Get your head out of the clouds SLick! They run this site, and do not take orders from you or anyone else. But they might decide to throw YOU off this site with all your ridicule and name calling. I can think of some names to call you. But I grew up 40 years ago.

Exhaust all options besides polyester reaction first????
Why? When the quickest and easiest thing to do is this first. And it could have been done already. But instead he still has done nothing because you argue with me for having a bone against me. All this guy has to do is buy some polyester batten 100% and place it in the crease of his arm for 30 minutes. then sit back and wait 2-3 hours for the reaction. Or he will likely itch in less than 2 minutes.
Or should he wait weeks for a doctor visit and then quite a while to see if that worked. Does that make sense. He can even cut a small hole in his pillow and pull some out of it and use that. But tomorrow he will be here searching and posting again, and this could have been eliminated by then. And doing this first will save him money. The money he don't have and is why he is here instead.
When my car is broken, I don't put a new engine in first thing. Took much time and money. First thing I do is the quick easy stuff. Because it doesn't hurt my wallet near as much, and it doesn't hurt to put a new filter in or replace wires that look bad. anyhow. And it won't hurt this guy to go buy a pair of all cotton briefs either. Or stick a folded wash cloth down his trunks over his penis! It is the quickest thing to eliminate. Quickest, cheapest, least invasive,"drugs are invasive" and shows instant results. Well, he will no tonight. It is taking way longer just being here and doing this forum so far than it wold to do as I say. Just do it guy! And then you can be the judge. You don't have to second guess me. It won't do any harm!
YOU CAN DO IT !!!

Just from reading a few of your posts, I can tell you much about yourself and your attitude.  I assure you, it isn't a pretty attitude nor helpful.  How about you let me help this man, and exhaust all options before making a claim that may or may not be true?

I can have you removed from this site if you do so wish it.  Your attitude is intolerable.  You lack many things in life that may build your confidence, so you turn to wisdom.  You've always thought you were smart, and maybe you've helped a few people out, but by no means does that make you a genius, nor correct 100% of the time.  You were never really popular in the past, and now you try to make up for it with a posh attitude.  You would also never assume that you may be wrong, only right.  An attitude like that, is not helpful for anyone in the long run, and you will see that more and more as time progresses.  You can not truly help someone if you let your own arrogance and self-righteousness stand in the way.

Would you like me to further exercise the probability and basis for which having you removed, or will you take into consideration the things that I have said so that you may very well be able to help other people for the right reasons?

They look worse than your?
But does it look like what you have?

About the 25% polyester in your boxers. The label tell what the material is and does not include the thread. Somehow they can put 100 % cotton on the tag and use all polyester thread, and do not have to mention that. again, the tag does not have any inclusion of the threads. I only found out about it by talking to an elderly woman who made clothes for LLBean for over 40 years. She told me they put at least 40% polyester in all thread of all clothing, and do not state this on any tag! Once I knew that I figured out why I still reacted. I know what you feel like my friend. I too had the itchy crotch for a few years and almost took my own life. Cried out to GOD many times, and literally almost went nuts. It can drive a man insane over time!
Please come back and post how your condition is once you eliminate the poly!
I am truly concerned about people suffering especially needlessly. Once you know for sure this is your problem, you will want to come back to me so I can tell you things you need to avoid. One thing you can do is cut a small hole in your pillow and pull out some of the 100% poly in it. It is always 100 % in pillows. And then take this little bunch and put it someplace sensitive you will react easy to it there. Like between your butt cheeks but above your butt hole as far up from it as it will stay put. And then pull your pants up and try to forget it is there best you can. See how long before you start to itch! No need to be tested really. If you react to it, then you are having an allergic reaction.

Thanks for the link Simpleman74. I checked it out and luckily what they show there is worse then what I have. I checked all my boxers and sleep shorts. My boxers are 25% polyester. Probably the seams at the fly. And my sleep shorts are 100% polyester. So I'm going to go out and buy all new shorts that are 100% cotton.

Now I'm talking to all. I didn't join this site to hear arguing about difference in opinion. All I want is good advice. Like I said if the problem keeps occurring I will have no choice buy to see the doc. Just trying to get some feedback from people and doctors on hear.

I am going to help you more with this one link than you have ever got for this!
And you would think after all these years one of these know it alls in here would think of it. I been here 2 days and I did.
This link has 1000's of pictures of people with this allergy. And so go and find someone that it looks like yours there. Because it looks a bit different of many people, and different body parts. Find your body part here and one that reacts exactly like you. A picture is worth a 1000 words!

Yes I have real basis. Because scabies in unlike what he described!!!
You are a trouble making idiot Slick, who is upset for I am smarter than you, and you like to be the big deal. But you know **** dude! And you being here is preventing others from getting help and believing me. You posted that reply with no basis to attack me! and I am going to show that now.

How do I know it isn't scabies?
He said he was tested and they were negative for all STD's first off.
That rules out those.
And has been in a relationship for many years and knows it is not! So shut your mouth please. And let me help these people.
What is the worse that can happen to shove a piece of 100% polyester between the crack of their but to see if it itches?

First off The majority of people here are here because they can't find a doctor that or their doctor that knows what they have. So in desperation come here.
And if their doctor doesn't know, then it is probably contact dermatitis. Because doctors are not trained on that for ****. They call that eczema. But I won't let you distract me from helping people. Bug off.
And that IS Allergy to something. And First of all people, how many things does this mans penis touch? His clothing and his woman.
But that isn't what I go by. I go by symptoms.

Trust me, if it was "crabs" you'd breath a "sigh of relief."  Most people believe crabs isn't treatable, but it is.  Special types of shampoo with active ingredients like Pymethrin 1% (Over the counter) or Lindane 1% (prescribed) are generally used for the treatment of pubic lice and the lice are usually rid of the infected area with just 1 use of the shampoo.  Trust me, it's much better than having an untreatable STD.  I have an issue right now, and I'm almost for certain that it is either scabies or crabs.  The good thing is that if I'm right; both are easily curable.  I'll have to get a doctor's appointment set up to see for sure, however.
Don't worry, you probably don't have crabs, but if it turns out to be such a thing don't be worried or scared.  It's better to have something that is curable.

I will see a Dermatologist if it continues. Starting to get lighter but even when it goes away it still concerns me. Anything I can try with over the counter creams or allergy pills? I'll try it the simple way before I make appointments.

I will try some of the things you suggested. At this point anything is worth a shot. I do work in construction and were a heavy tool belt. Maybe that keeps pressure against the front of my pants. I'm sure that don't help. I don't were hats of any kind. I do get anxiety.

Thanks for your information Slickshot. If this keeps up I will have no choice but to go to a Dermatologist. Would you happen to know of a doctor on here I can link right to. I want to see if I can treat this with over the counter meds before I bite the bullet again to see another doctor. You scare me when you say crabs but I was checked for that when this first happened. My doctor checked for all STDs and the blood work came back clean. Guess I should just go and make an appointment. I do appreciate everyone's help on hear but it can be so many things and people would probably fill my head with all kinds of things.

I like how you rule out that it may be Pediculosis pubis ("crabs") or scabies.  You have no real basis to rule out such things, but you do.  Just like I know you say it is an allergic reaction to Polyester, because in fact, you are allergic to polyester.  I don't mean to be rude, but you don't know the full extent to what you are talking about.  Bardledo's best bet is to see a dermatologist and find out some real answers.
I can ridicule you all day and tell you why you put yourself forth in such a way with no doubt as to what you are saying, and that you have a 1-tract mind...see I can do this because I happen to be very good in the field of psychology. I've asked a few doctors for their opinions, which if I might add, seem a little more realistic than yours.  Not to mention they don't rule out other possibilities.  They (the doctors) are here to help us the best way they can, and give us their complete professional opinions.  You, however, have a more personal reason for why you so eagerly offer your opinions.  That is why I cannot trust your judgment, because your judgment is faltered by your own need for attention.  Please leave this conversation.  I will not have you mislead another person as you have with bardledo.

Bardledo, I suggest you ask a good doctor around this site, for what may be going on with your symptoms, and then seek medical help outside of the limitations of the internet.  Have a good day man.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub, folliculitis or lichen nitidus. Lichen nitidus is characterized by 1-2 mm, pale flesh-colored or reddish-brown papules. Generally it is self limiting but severe cases may need glucocorticoids.

I would suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

I know you will do this, because your penis itches and you want it to stop right?
And when you post, you don't have to type my name in. Just put the 1st letter and hit tab, it will fill in by itself. God I am so smart. Kidding

To make your penis better, all you have to do is let very cool, water on the area at showers ending. And not take real hot showers. Cold water make the inflamation go down.
And wear your boxers inside out. They have to be 100% cotton too! And then fold the waistband over to rst on the outter. This will put a barrier too.  Amazingly a thin barrier can be enough if the material is dense enough. And I think you will be okay that way for if rash is only on your penis, your allegic is not too intense yet.
When I polyester touches me it starts on my lower legs, then thighs, and bam! all over. And I itch badly.
I have itched all over most of my life. I almost went nuts, and was often a bear.

If you can show others this works for you and I am right, then people can believe and get help! Okay man! You can help make a big difference.
Everybody reacts a little differently. And so what I say to people varies. But read all my other posts in dermatology my friend. This will open your eyes.
See how no doctor has been able to help any of these people I replied to their posts!
And then jump on my wagon. I had this all my life and do not get any rashes not fro the way I do things and avoid things. I am living proof that I know how to fix this for you and the others. One more thing. A doctor saying you have a skin problem like eczema. They are all in the dark man! And when this news comes out, these dermatologist will have to find another side job to fill the empty slots. For they won't be needed much then.

Glad to see one reply out of all my posts!
You might be the smartest guy here who will at least listen to me and be on your way to being better.

I knew you wore boxers. Because it had to be. They have the center fly. Where the polyester thread is.
Yeah you wore them all your life and your body didn't react. At some point when we get older our immune changes.
Once the immune is weak from a flu or something that runs us way down, we can not handle it any longer so the body becomes allergic instead.
You must have been real sick right before this came on for it happened quickly.
Come and go?  I am sorry to say, but you have it forever now.
But you can improve quite a lot if you do as I tell you.

The places where polyester in threads touches the most firmly, is where things occur first. Okay? And also where the skin is the thinnest and most sensitive. And where it rubs back and forth across it.
So it happened on your penis for it is sensitive!
And as for the tightness in your neck because the weight of the shirt hold the threads against you my friend.
This means your bodies defenses against it are getting weaker and so it is starting to show in more places for you.
And soon if not already comes other ways you will react.
Like not getting to sleep well, and waking up often.
For the body is now more sensitive and so your cotton sheets are not enough barrier from your mattress.
Tell me if that started yet.
And I don't want to scare you but the same thing in poly you react from is in many other synthetics, like plastic! Be cool, plastic is not as bad as poly.

You may find your feet being a bit swollen and having some skin issue on your lower legs. Wait your ankles will swell first, not your feet. That will come.

Questions:
1 do you wear a hat? and do you have like a pressure or tightness that feels like it is outside the skull not inside?

2. is the part of your butt that touches your back pants pockets feel a little rough yet?
it will be like goose bumps and not itch there. Actually that can come earlier and you might not of noticed it. Check and let me know.

3. Do you have any anxiety?

I do were nothing but boxers. I have been wearing boxers as long as I can remember. Don't know why a rash would come out of the blue after so many years of boxers. Its weird you mention neck pain. I didn't have that a year ago when this first happened but today I got a stiff neck that goes down to the right side of my shoulder. And I barely ever get stiff necks or shoulder pain.

Do these allergic reactions just come and go? If so how can I prevent them?

Condoms or the polyester in the thread of all cotton clothing. You underwear. Probably boxers right. The stitching around the fly of them. Or no underwear and stitching in pant fly. Hard to believe huh?
The penis is the most sensitive area to be in contact with polyester. A mild allergy can show up only there.
But usually you may have some tightness in your neck also. Maybe an occassional shoulder pain.
Awaiting your reply
