Skin

Hi, I have 2 questions. First I have  a small patch on my left cheek of redness, not red or itchy. Butlike tiny spots. Could it be roacea, and 2 I have alot of age and sun spots on my arms and legs all but 1 looks like your photos of melanoma one is a bit raised but tan in color, any idea what tha is. I am 62 and seem to have developed the redness over the last 3 years and the spots I have had a long time. I have been to a bermatologist and did have 1 noncancerous spot removed from my back. I had been taking numerous medications but have greatly cut back.Any ideas on this. Thank you

Hello,
This redness can be due to sun exposure or rosacea but if one of the spots that you were having had become raised and is tan in color, then it needs to be evaluated. It can be a harmless mole but as a thumb rule, whenever you notice changes in a mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
