Small bald spots that itch

I have a beautiful head of hair and I had it all my life. I had my problem checked by my local family doctor and a specialist. They keep telling me I could be stressed out. I dont feel stressed out. But I keep getting these small red spots, they are itchy at first then turn into a bald spot. The first one was about 5 months ago and is the size of a nickle. I still have no hair in that spot. Over the past few months I now have about 6 spots, not as big but the same thing. Please help me. I can't seem to find out what is wrong with me.
