Small black ring beneath skin on testicle

Today I was using the restroom, and I noticed something very particular. I found a small black ring, about a centimeter or two in diameter on my testicle (It is a "perfect" circle). It is just beneath the surface of the skin. It doesnt hurt when I touch it. I do however find that it itches. Im understandibly quite concerned, and I want to know if this is something benign such as a ringworm infection or an ingrown hair, or something more serious. Thank you in advance for any help you might have as to how I should go about treating this.
