Small itchy spots all over

by JoshuaH, Mar 21, 2007 12:00AM
Hello Doctor I hope you can help me,

For a little more than a month I have had itching on my legs, inner thighs, a little on scrotum, and even places like my arms and my feet have tiny marks/bumps.
The marks that I am getting are all down my thighs and past my knees and onto my shins, and they all itch very much especially at night in bed. Sometimes the itching even goes onto my stomach with small bumps appearing on it, but those usually dissapear faster. My forearms get bumps too and my around my underarm area seems to be irritated.
I thoguht maybe it could be the detergent that I recently started using, but I re-washed everything in regular water and I am still itching.
After about a month of the itching, all of a sudden I have red marks on the head of my penis. They appear to be very slightly raised and are very near and around the tip. They do not itch or hurt.
Are these two things related? COuld they be some sort of STD or are they unrelated?
I have been itching for over a month and it is keeping me awake at night, I look forward to your answer!

Thank you so much

This does not sound like an STD.  However, if the itch is actually keeping you awake at night, this may conceivably be a case of scabies.  If so, I would expect someone with whom you have close physical contact to be itching too.  To be sure, you need to see a doctor.  Of course, this may just be irritation and anxiety, but first you need to rule out something treatable.  I wouldn't worry bout the penis redness, though.

Take care.

I have small itchy bumps on my body too.  The are on my upper arms, and all over my chest and torso, as well as the sides of my mid-section (but not the middle of my back).  Some are on my neck, and my upper thighs.  These began to show up about 4 days ago.  A week ago, I got a bigger bug-bite like bump on my penis.  Instead of going back down, though, it really itched then eventually peeled off.  It stopped itching again, but just recently began again.

Before all this started, I've been getting what I think were bug-bites all over the body, one or two at a time.  They seemed to not itch and eventually go back down after a while.

Anybody got an idea of what this may be?

To: It might be Psoriasis
This could be a case of Pustulate psoriasis. Visit www.anmolnaturals.com
