Small sore/lesion on scrotum won't heal

Hi, I've had a small (3mm or so diameter) oval sore on my scrotum for about 4 years. It never seems to heal properly. Its not painful and sometimes its not very noticeable depending on the elasticity of my scrotum. It sometimes resembles a very shallow ulcer - sometimes reddish color and often white/dry skin - but there is a tiny lesion in the middle. If I stretch the skin a bit or exfoliate the lesion weeps a tiny amount of clear fluid.

From memory I think it was from popping a pimple or boil on my scrotum, but I'm concerned why it has never healed properly. If someone (eg: my new girlfriend) was to inspect closely she would probably be put off by what looks like a herpes ulcer or something. I can confirm I do not have any STDs (been tested prior to starting new relationship).

Any ideas what is or how I can encourage healing or minimize its unsightliness ?

Same problem here. Had it for about 10 years. Never heals properly. Same spot; pore or follicle. I'm not high risk re STDs (understatement).
