Small sore on opening of tip of penis

Small sore on opening of tip of penis

Just yesterday I noticed two small sores on either side of the hole or opening of the tip of my penis.  The sores are red and only slightly inflamed.  The sores do not bother me much while urinating, but after urination they are sensitive and cause me some discomfort, a sort of burning sensation, as my boxer shorts rub against the tip of my penis.  Eventually this dies down, as the sores appear to close or seal.

My wife and I only practice oral sex and manual stimulation; the last unprotected sex I had was with her about two years ago.  I have been entirely monogamous in the 5 years I have been with her.  The last time we had sex was 4 days ago (oral).

I am just getting over a sore throat that was characterized by both glandular swelling and an inflammation of my throat and esophagus; the irritation, which made my throat more sensitive to stomach acids, lasted beyond the swelling, and is only just feeling better today.  I saw a doctor about the throat, and he said not to worry, it would just get better.  I only mention this because the burning in my throat is reminiscent of the burning sensation I feel on my penis I mentioned above.

Thanks much.

I really can't think of anything beyond irritation.  This doesn't sound viral or infectious, and certainly isn't an STD.  My advice is to keep the area moist (vaseline), treat it gently, and expect it to heal in a few days.  If it stays a week, show your doctor.

Best.
