. I haven't been to my doctor yet but have an appointment for next week, I'm just curious to what these may be. There are 5 of them, not in a group but separate. They don't itch or hurt, just curious if anyone might know what they could be.
2. About a week later, I noticed a small, pea-sized lump
on the inside of my left thigh. I'm a little overweight and read that chafing may have something to do with it. At first it appeared to be a large pimple, had a white head
on it so I tried popping it, a lot of pus and blood came out and I figured that's what it was. But it hasn't gone away since. It now feels like a hard lump
to the touch. I was reading about boils and thought that could be the case, but then again, maybe not. Also, the insides of my legs are a little red in color
, as well as going up towards my anus. I was guessing from chafing. Not sure if that's a problem or not, just figured I'd throw that in there in case there is something I don't know about it.
3. My scrotum has been unbearably itchy off and on for the past month or so. I didn't think much of it at first but it intensified after a few days, then went away, then came back, etc. I've noticed a wet, sort of smelly substance coming from where I scratched it, though now I try my hardest not to which has helped a bit, but the itchy sensation is still present.
4. And finally, I've always had an acne problem, but a few months ago I noticed red, pimple-like spots on my thighs, just below the knee, and my ***. I read up on Folliculitis and looked at some pictures on Google, but it doesn't look the same. It's neither itchy or painful.
I will be checking up with my doctor as I said, but until then if I could maybe get an opinion to keep my mind at ease, or even to know what's going on it would be greatly appreciated.
Hello,
You are having the symptoms of folliculitis and boils on your penis and thighs. On your scrotal sacs, however it looks like intertrigo. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.
Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching pls take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
For the boils and folliculitis, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
