Something is on my Penis Glans

by veryconcerned123, Oct 09, 2003 12:00AM
I have written before concerning my problem. I am hoping that all of this is just in my head, but I do have a spot that is very worrisome to me. It is also very real. I do see it.

On my penis head to the left of my urethra I have a spot. It is about the size of a rice krispie. It is puffy and is located on top of the normal puffiness that I have always had on both sides of the urethra.

It doesn't hurt, and it is isn't hard to the touch. It isn't a bump. (when you touch it there is nothing underneath) it is just a slightly raised puffy place that has a defined border, and it wrinkles when you pinch it. It kinda looks like a blister that you might get on your hand, BUT it is not a blister!

71 days ago today a woman put the head of my unprotected penis in her mouth for no more than 3 to 5 seconds.

Needless to say I have been extremly freaked out about this. When I described this to you on 9/24/03 you stated that I did not have an STD, but I have a fear of an STD. I hope you are right! I do have a fear that is for sure.

I have not looked as often but every now and again I will look, and it is still there. It also appears that now the lips of my urethra don't meet like they used to. On the same side of my urethra as the spot it is like there is puffiness on the inside of the urethra. Of course you can only see this when you open it up and look inside.

I think you are correct in the fact that I have aggravated this place from my many days of rough handling through self examination. My fear is that this is some sort of STD. I have posted four pictures of this at this site:

http://www.geocities.com/helphelphelp1232003/

Will you PLEASE look at the pics and tell me what you think?  The redness is from rubbing in my pants. I know because that goes away rapidly.

I will remove the pics after you view them. I am not trying to post something inappropriate it is just that you mention having photos etc. and this is the only way you can see it.

The picture does not do the spot or the lip problem justice. They both appear much more noticeable in person, but this will give you some idea of what I am talking about.

My question for you is do you know of any STD that this could be?
Do you think that the Glans looks normal from the pics?

If not what is this spot? The lip thing may have always been that way, and I just never noticed until now, but I know this spot is new. What besides my rough handling or an STD could have caused this.

If not an STD do you think that eventually (months) it will go away and not be noticeable?

I have not had any other symptoms of anything wrong. No burning when urinating, no other sores, etc. Just this. My concern is of course any and all STD's that I could have caught. I am in the south and Syphilis is still common around here. I have noticed this spot for at least 6 weeks or longer. I also thought about warts etc.

Please look at the pics and let me know what you think.

Good pictures.

The spot in question looks like a cyst of some sort.  It does not look like a wart, a herpes blister, or a chancre of syphilis.  I cannot think of any connection with your sexual exposure.  Sexual bumps change or spread or go away.  They don't just sit there for 6 weeks.

Please, do yourself a favor--consult a dermatologist or urologist and get a definitive diagnosis.  It may well be that this little bump will stay there forever--little bumps come like this and stay, all the time, even if we can't explain them--but if it doesn't mean anything then you need to learn to ignore it.

Best.

It sounds to me like you are concerned that you might have picked up an std. I think the thing that is going to put your mind to rest is to make an appointment to see your doc or find a clinic that will do some std testing for you. The thing about the routine std testing process is that not all stds are included in the testing. So, you will need to ask to be tested for herpes and hiv since those two stds are not part of routine std testing.

Also, I would not stick to looking at the photographs on the internet because they are usually the worst case scenarios. For example: People that have herpes don't always get signs or symptoms and they don't always get the classic blisters that you might find on the internet. In fact, herpes goes undetected all the time. There are many people out there that have it and don't know that they have it because they don't get any signs or symptoms.

You really need to get in to see a doctor in order to confirm if you have an std or not. This will put your mind to rest.

Good Luck,

Angela

That makes sense! After looking at this spot yesterday in very bright light (after I posted) it appears that it is acutally comprised of two or three small spots that have kind of blended together.

They look just like other small spots that I have always had on my glans. Kind of hard to describe them, but I will try. They are not rough or hard. They are smooth to the touch and they look kind of like little tiny pieces of odd shaped skin. They are flat, but they have these little borders. (Does that still sound like cysts?)

These little borders are kind of roundish like a piece of a puzzle.

It appears that this spot is just a few of these that are grouped together and possibly maybe a little larger than the rest of the ones I have always had.

If my sexual encounter did not cause this do you think that my constant pinching of the glans head during my many examinations could have made what was there all along get puffy and more noticeable?

Or do you think that these things are growing? I now know from looking at them that they are exactly the same as the other little places I have always had and am just curious as to why they would become so noticeable now in this one place.

Do you think in time they will blend back in with the rest of my glans?
