Std/ingrown hair/???

I recently developed a "pimple-like boil" on my upper inner thigh...its not in my "area" but its at the TOP INNER thigh.. where i shave my bikini line.  I put medicine on it that I had for treating boils and it only made it bleed.  Now, the surrounding 5 inches is all red and yucky and hurty!! Im scared it may be an STD....I havent been the smartest or "safest" person in the past few months...but i do believe it may be an "ingrown hair cyst"  IM SCARED.  I dont have any health insurance and I am unemployed...so I need some HOME REMEDIES or ADVICE before I GO TO THE ER. PLEASE!

i will tell u what a doctor will tell u so u cant be worried ...first of all .. with out a examination any doctor here or near u cannot tell u ...but ...its probably nothing to be worried about .. it might be a razor bump  witch is something i had too .. i was worried allot !!!!!! and it was a stupid razor bump !!clean the area .. and wait for a doc to say something on here :) but i dont think its something toi be worried about !

Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean. Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription. If there are recurrent boils, then please get your blood sugar levels estimated.
