Strange Bump on Penis Head

by myrevenge79, Aug 07, 2009 08:41PM
Hi,

This problem has been going since March. I had unprotected sex with a girl and two weeks later I had tiny red dots show up on my penis head and that day I also noticed a very tiny little bump on the head as well. I went to a local emergency care and the Dr there said it was just a fungal infection. He gave me some anti-fungal cream and the redness went away in a few days. The bump stayed though and now as of August is still there. It's mostly a flesh colored looking papule, though sometimes it gets a little red. When I view it with a pretty powerful mag glass it somewhat resembles other normal papules on my penis, but there seems to be a tiny little white center to it with little red speckles around it, which I assume are capillaries and the bump is not all that raised, just a little. It's always shinier than anything else on the head and just basically looks different which makes it noticable to me. I'm not a hypochondriac, I definately would have noticed this at some point before. I read on the internet about the vinegar test for warts and tried it a few times. I never really noticed it turning white at all, though maybe a little lighter, but it mostly just irritated it and made it red from what I could tell. My next step was to go to the free local health clinic and have them look at it and get tested for pretty much every STD. It all came back negative and he examined the bump and said it didn't look like a wart at all to him, though, he couldn't tell me what it was if it wasn't a wart. It hasn't really changed at all, but I know this is not part of my normal anatomy. My question is do you think this is a wart, and if not, what do you think it could be and should I go to a specialist to get it checked out? I've included a link to a few pictures of the bump, hopefully this will help. If you can't access them let me know and I will get them to you another way.

Thank you for your time...

Looks like normal penile anatomy to me.  I don't see why you would have noticed it before--you had no reason to scrutinize your penis with such care, and I don't think you need to look that closely now either.  If you remain unconvinced, you can see another doctor for another opinion.

Also, it doesn't sound as though it was a fungus either.

Best.
